Reports: Toulouse And Clermont To Announce Two Massive Irish Signings [Updated]

Update 2.06:

According to the Irish Times' Johnny Watterson, reports that two high profile Irish players are set to be announced as signings by Clermont and Toulouse respectively "appear to be false".

David Kelly in the Indo also says that the moves will not happen today and cites a source close to O'Brien who says there is "absolutely no prospect of the Tullow native being unveiled in France this week".

Both Watterson and Kelly mention Jamie Heaslip and Sean O'Brien as the players rumoured to be on the move with Kelly also mentioning Conor Murray. And while they both say that the moves are not about to happen, the idea is not completely dismissed as a possibility in the near future either.

After a fantastic weekend for the Irish provinces in the Heineken Cup, they could be set for a major blow tomorrow with rumours that Clermont and Toulouse may be about to announce the signings of two Irish players.

French site, rugbyrama.fr, has today reported on rumours which suggest that Sean O'Brien and Jamie Heaslip could be those two players.
