Trevor Hogan's journey abroad the MV Saoirse as part of the Freedom Flotilla II took a sinister turn in a Turkish port town as captain Shane Dillon discovered damage to the propeller shaft that most consider to be the work of Israeli divers. The boat has been taken out of the water and damage to the propeller shaft has been documented by Hogan (it's his photo above) and others who were aboard. Hogan tweeted to say that he has now boarded an Italian Dutch boat en route to Gaza. Were they to continue sailing, the damage would have lead to a breach in the hull, which probably isn't good for sailing a boat. Israel's determination to keep Irish rugby players out of Gaza is depraved.
