We got a little teaser of what was is store for us in RTÉ's documentary about Ronan O'Gara earlier in the week. Now we've got an extended look.

This clip focuses of the 2009 Autumn internationals when Jonny Sexton was chosen to start at out-half instead of the Munster man for the game against South Africa.

O'Gara is really honest talking about how he had never experienced life as a replacement player and how he believed Sexton might have had to prove himself a little bit more before being given the opportunity to start.

He also intimates some of his thoughts about Declan Kidney as a coach.

We often bemoan the lack of quality sports documentaries on this side of the Atlantic so to see one of this potential quality come along really is mouth-watering.

It premieres on January 2nd at 21.30 on RTÉ One.
