Winning your first international cap is a major milestone in the career of every rugby player. Andrew Conway won his first cap in style yesterday, coming off the bench at halftime in one of the sweetest Irish rugby wins over England.

But if there is any justice in the world, the enduring memory of Conway's first cap will not involve anything that took place on the rugby pitch. Instead, it will be his rendition of 'Summer of '69' at the post-match banquet at the Intercontinental Hotel as he was formally initiated into the Irish rugby fraternity.

Conway's Munster teammate Simon Zebo shared this a 15-second glimpse of Conway's vocal exploits last night, and what a scene it was. Conway, with one hand in his pocket and his cap on his head, sings Bryan Adams's most enduring anthem, without any accompaniment. The alickidoo beside looks slightly embarassed. Johnny Sexton and Tiernan O'Halloran seemed rightly amused.

Square up to Mike Brown and sing Bryan Adams before a couple hundred people: talk about a day to remember.
