Ireland enjoyed an outstanding first-half against South Africa at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday and went in at the break sitting on a 14-0 lead.

Andrew Conway was the brightest performer as he capped a strong first 40 with an opportunistic try, and there were big moments from CJ Stander and Robbie Henshaw that also got the crowd off of their seats, but the moment that gave us a proper chuckle in the Balls.ie offices came via prop Cian Healy.

After Ireland conceded a penalty on the brink of half time, South Africa winger Dillyn Leyds did as any quick-thinking player would by trying to retrieve the ball which was in the arms of Conor Murray.

Healy spotted this, as with one extension of his arm put Leyds on the deck before immediately apologising to the referee. We then saw the ref-cam footage which was nothing short of hilarious as Leyds was in frame one second and then vanished.

The instant apology just makes it.

Healy upset a few of Leyds' teammates but he was not about to have an argument over it, he knew he was being a bit cheeky. The ref handled it well in fairness.

And who says ref cam is useless?
