Form Guide

This Ireland U20s team go from strength to strength, game after game they manage to extend their outstanding two-year unbeaten run. Richie Murphy's side have now played their last three major tournaments without a loss and hopefully, Friday is no different.

Ireland U20s kicked off this Championship as Six Nations Champions and while Ireland suffered a scare in the opening round with their draw against England, they've more or less cruised through the rest of their games, with the final pairing suggesting that maybe this was a two-horse race all along.

Following their draw with England, Ireland recorded comfortable wins over both Australia and Fiji in the group stages that saw Richie Murphy's men qualify for the semi-finals where they met hosts South Africa. Despite a touch-and-go opening half, the Ireland U20s came into their own eventually winning 31-12.

On the other hand, France are the top seed and have been one of the if not the most impressive team in the Championship so far. They hammered Japan 75-12, made light work of New Zealand beating them 35-14 before disposing of Wales 43-19. They met England in the semi-final and like Ireland struggled to get going, however, their class eventually shone through with the end result a 52-31 win.

Unfortunately, France are marginal favourites this Friday. However, this Ireland U20s team have learned how to win under extreme pressure, they've already beaten France this year and haven't lost a game in two years. France may be marginal favourites but an Irish win is very much on the cards.
