Munster welcome the New Zealand Maori to a sold-out Thomond Park this evening, with much made of a potential Munster haka akin to that of 2008's close shave with the All Blacks.
As suspected when Munster's team was announced and distinctly lacked Kiwi influence, it didn't transpire, but the Maoris' own performance at midfield fit the bill perfectly.
As Thomond hushed, bracing itself for what was always likely to be a spine-tingling haka, three Maori players approached the halfway line and laid out a black Maoris shirt. Imprinted on it were the initials 'AF', in tribute to the late, great Anthony Foley.
They proceeded with a hair-raising haka beneath the silent Thomond stands, as Munster stood back respectfully.
Afterwards, Anthony Foley's two sons - Dan and Tony - walked out to the pitch where they were presented with the shirt by the Maori All Blacks' captain Ash Dixon, who remained on his knee.
It was, as has been the case on numerous occasions in recent weeks, a fitting tribute to the great Foley - less than a week on from Ireland's own Foley-inspired haka response in Chicago. You can watch it below, courtesy of Eir Sport.
