A scintillating display from Judd Trump allowed the Englishman to take a 12-5 lead over John Higgins in the World Championship final at the Crucible.

The best-of-25 match resumes on Monday at 2.00pm, but after an in-form Trump won a remarkable eight frames in a row, he took control of the tie.

Trump is now on the verge of completing the Triple Crown of winning all of snooker's top three events. Speaking on Eurosport, Ronnie O'Sullivan suggested this final is all but over: "The way Jude is playing, I think this is done and dusted."
