It's that time of year. On Saturday week, many of us will jump head first into our annual love affair with snooker. The Crucible is upon us, and the breakneck world we inhabit mercifully slows down for a couple of weeks and we go back in time. Prepare yourself for a few safety battles between Mark Williams and Graeme Dott, revel in the audaciousness of Neil Robertson and Ronnie O'Sullivan and settle into your evening listening to the dulcet tones of John Virgo, John Parrott, and Dennis Taylor. What could be better?
But how well to you know the snooker players or today and yesteryear?
Snooker nicknames are not quite up there with Darts, but they're not far off. We've put together 20 of our favourite, and want you to name what snooker player each one belongs to. Some are gimmes, some are pretty tough. We expect a good old school snooker fan to be able to get at least 15 of these in the five minutes that are allotted.
Good luck and let us know how you get on in the comments.
