Mark Selby made the highest break so far at this year's World Snooker Championship with a 143 clearance against Marco Fu in the penultimate frame of their quarter-final on Wednesday afternoon. (Just hours later, Ronnie O'Sullivan beat Selby's mark with a 146.)

On commentary for BBC, Stephen Hendry called it, 'one of the best I've ever seen'.

It was a break featuring some astonishing shots from the world number one to maintain the clearance. With three reds and then two remaining on the table, Selby potted a tough black to the middle left and then another to the top right.

The break took just a little under 11 minutes to complete.
