The two biggest things we miss about the cinema are actually not the movies at all. It's the trailers and the popcorn. Especially the popcorn.
Cinema popcorn is simply the bee's knees. This writer even knows of someone who would reguarly drive to the cinema just to buy the popcorn and leave! Well if there's anyone living near Rathmines who's that way inclined, they can feed their cinema food craving by getting some delivered straight to their home!
Omniplex Cinema in Rathmines are open for collection from 4:30pm today, 21 May and you can also order cinema food for delivery through Just Eat.
The service runs Thursdays-Sundays from 4.30-9.30pm, with the full list of delivery areas listed on the Just Eat website here. You can also check out the full menu there, which includes special combos, your usually popcorn, nachos etc. as well as large sweet bags, Pick & Mix and soft drinks. Now all you need is a good movie to watch but fear not, we've got you covered there too with some advice on the best movies coming soon to Netflix.
For those of us not living nearby we will have to wait a while longer unfortunately but hopefully, all going well, this is something we'll see rolled out around the country and time goes by.
