We will witness the end of an era tomorrow night, with Ryan Tubridy set to host his final episode of The Late Late Show.

The Dubliner has been in the role since 2009, announcing earlier this year that he would step aside at the end of the current season. It has since been announced that Patrick Kielty would take his place, with the Down man set to take the reins in the autumn.

Considering this is the end of Tubridy's tenure on the stage, there is no better time to look back on some of his cringiest moments while sitting in the host's chair. There has been no shortage of them.

How could we ever forget?

An iconic moment in the notoriously child-friendly Toy Show from back in 2020.

Ryan Tubridy is called out by Derry Girls star

This was big news at the time.

Ryan Tubridy asked what most felt was a fairly innocuous question to Derry Girls actress Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, one that was based around the fact she was playing a teenager despite being in her 30s.

It's safe to say it did not go down well. The actress labelled the questions as 'misogynistic', with the whole exchange quickly getting very awkward.

Tubridy: Would you consider telling me what age you are?

Curtis: This is the thing about that that gets on my nerves a wee bit, no disrespect.

Tubridy: I'll walk away from it if you like me to, I'll leave it.

Curtis: It's quite misogynistic, even if it's not intentionally misogynistic, because men don't get the same scrutiny in their career.

Tubridy: I would definitely have asked the male actor the same question because he's playing a teenager too.

A cringy one alright.

Roz Purcell and her innuendos

Poor Ryan only wanted a quick cooking demonstration, but he got a bit flustered when Roz Purcell made a couple of innuendos.

He didn't know where to look.

Shane Lynch and that old Boy Zone clip

Boy Zone's debut on The Late Late Show has gone down in infamy, with the newly formed boyband dancing around a very confused Gay Byrne to mark their debut on Irish television.

It has inevitably been brought up whenever they appeared on the show in the years that followed, including on one occasion back in 2018.

That didn't go down too well with Shane Lynch, who told the presenter exactly what he thought of the move.

Listen, here's the story behind that clip. I bursted my bollocks to get here.

You that clip, you can shove up your fucking hole. That's what you can do with that clip.

That reaction was a bit uncalled for in all fairness.

Francis Brennan struggles with a duvet

You'd think that a hotelier would know his way around a duvet, but that apparently isn't always the case.

Poor Francis even had to get a member of the audience to give him a helping hand.

Only in Ireland would you get three minutes of a man attempting to put on a duvet cover.

Russell Crowe calls out the crowd's piss poor clapping

Russell Crowe has always been a good sport whenever he appeared on the show, although this was one of his odder ones.

He was in a bit of a confrontational mood right from the off, and when he started performing Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues, he quickly let the crowd know how unhappy he was with their contribution to the song.

In fairness, that mistimed clapping must be a nightmare for a musician.

Daniel O'Donnell skit leaves one audience member very disappointed

This was hilarious and little bit awkward for the woman involved.

Daniel O'Donnell has no shortage of super fans and it seems there was one of them in the audience for this edition of the show back in 2016.

Ryan Tubridy announced that the Donegal native was about to come on stage, which got one woman in the audience hugely excited. However, her joy soon turned to anger as it turned out that it was actually just Gift Grub' Mario Rosenstock doing an impression of the singer.

Absolutely fuming.
