It's week two of our Game of Thrones soundness rankings and this one is going to be a toughy. The big problem we're facing is that this week's episode was very high on soundness and low on dastardliness. So how the hell are we meant to decide who moves where on our top five and worst five sound people rankings?

In the words of Lone Watie in The Outlaw Josey Wales, we shall endeavour to persevere.

The Most Sound

5. Sansa - Down two places from last week

Sansa continued her sassy week one showing with yet more evidence of why she's the true queen of this show. She has shown to be a quality leader and while we saw her softer side during her meeting with Daenerys she wasn't afraid to pose the difficult question of the North to the would-be leader of the Seven Kingdoms.

Perhaps we should have sent her as part of our negotiating party in 1921.

4. Gendry - No change

The Ashley Peacock of Winterfell (see last week's rankings) finally put his tools down to raise another, altogether different, tool towards the end of this week's episode, and sure isn't everyone delighted for him. Let's just hope Arya doesn't meet the same end of Maxine Peacock. #RichardHillmanIsTheNightKing

3. Jaime Lannister - Up two places

Ser Jaime was on a soundness mission this week, making amends with many and reigniting his relationship with Brienne of Tarth. His numerous utterings of honour and his openess to servitude reeked of someone who is evidently trying to rise to the top of these rankings. Jaime nows that this is the true throne and we're falling for his efforts, hook, line and sinker.

2. Tormund Giantsbane - New entry

As if we could leave this man out of the top five after the showing he put in this week! Tormund returned to Winterfell, packed to the lugs with charm, wit and alcohol. He was like your sound, drunk uncle at a wedding.

1. Samwell Tarly - No change

With so many sound people around this week, Sam was going to find it hard to cling on to top spot but he did just enough to survive. Not only is he willing to put his life on the line by fighting alongside Jon and Eddison Tollett but he's going to do it without his family sword. That's because he gave the valyrian steel weapon away to Ser Jorah Mormont.

Sam, if your actions could truly melt hearts then the Night King would be nothing more than a puddle!

The Least Sound

5. The artist formerly known as Bran - Down one place

Recommended

The fact that The artist formerly known as Bran remains on this list is really only down to their being no new candidates emerging to take his place. In truth, his actions this week should see his slate wiped clean. While he may have freaked us out by staring at everyone in the first episode, this week he excused Jaime for pushing him out a window and decided to put himself in the line of fire by posing the idea that he is used a bait for the Night King.

If TAFKAB keeps this up he'll be finding himself on our most sound people list soon enough. What a turnaround!

4. Qyburn, Hand of the Queen - Up one place

Wasn't on this week's show. Still a dickhead.

3. Euron Greyjoy - Down one place

Although he didn't feature in this week's episode I've kind of warmed to him over the last week. Maybe he has the right idea; if the world is ending then maybe they all should only be worried about getting the ride instead of launching a doomed defence against the Night King.

2. The Night King - Up one place

Wanting to wipe out all evidence of human existence: Bad

Wanting an endless night: Bad

Calling around to someone's house unannounced and way past everyone's bedtime: Really bad

1. Daenerys - No change

For a while this week it looked like Khaleesi could be about to deliver the biggest face turn since 'Macho Man' Randy Savage reunited with Miss Elizabeth at Wrestlemania VII but alas....

She was all sunshine and cuddles with Sansa until faced with the question of the North, while her reaction to hearing Jon Snow is really Aegon Targaryen spoke volumes. While most normal people would react firstly to fact that they've just discovered they've been getting down and dirty with their nephew, the power-hungry Mother of Dragons immediately thought of Jon's claim to the Iron Throne.

That says it all, really.
