"Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back!"
Granted, not even The Avengers, the Ghostbusters, or Father Merrin from The Exorcist could get rid of Baba Yaga, better known as John Wick, the fucking boogeyman from the wonderful action franchise.
After Keanu Reeves recently switched gears with Bill and Ted Face The Music, it's time for the actor to lock and load once more on the next John Wick films.
Thankfully, Deadline have reported that the script for John Wick 4 is being written, however, they also announced plans for another film in the beloved franchise.
Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer said: “We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year.”
John Wick 4 is currently scheduled for release on May 27, 2022.
Since debuting in 2014, the saga of the ex-hit-man who comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that killed his dog has been a massive hit with audiences.
Aside from the Wick films, there's also a TV show about The Continental hotel in development and a spin-off centered on the ballerina school turned school for assassins.
As for Reeves, he's currently plugged back into The Matrix for filming on the fourth installment of the sci-fi epic.
