The Big Lebowski is one of the most beloved films of the century and one of the most beloved characters in the film is Jesus Quintana, a perv bowler in a hair net played by the great John Tuturro. Nobody fucks with The Jesus, and next year, a spin-off film about the Jesus is due to hit cinema screens.


A whole swathe of information about the much-rumoured film has surfaced online in the last few days - here's everything you need to know about the film.

What's it called? Previously called 'Going Places', the film according to reports has thankfully been renamed 'The Jesus Rolls'.

When will it be released? The Jesus Rolls was actually filmed back in 2016 but was apparently delayed by the editing process but is set to be released next year.

Are The Coen Brothers involved: No. The film will be written and directed by Tuturro. The Coen brothers have given their sign off.

What's it about? According to articles, 'The Jesus Rolls' will follow Jesus Quintana after he is released from prison after being 'framed on paedophile charges'. The official synopsis of the film describes it like this:


A trio of misfits whose irreverent, sexually charged dynamic evolves into a surprising love story as their spontaneous and flippant attitude towards the past or future backfires time and again, even as they inadvertently perform good deeds. When they make enemies with a gun-toting hairdresser, their journey becomes one of constant escape from the law, from society and from the hairdresser, all while the bonds of their outsider family strengthen'

Who's in it? Tuturro, Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, Jon Hamm, JB Smoove, Susan Sarandon, and Pete Davidson.
