The music feud that nobody asked for is rumbling on this week after Noel Gallagher tore into his new nemesis, Lewis Capaldi, in an interview with Variety.

Gallagher's previous digs at Capaldi inpsired the Scottich musician to produce one of the great Glastonbury entrances, but Noel was having none of it. Now that he's fully aware of Capaldi's existence, his opinion of him has not improved. He told variety.com:

F—ing Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes. The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot. It’s the greatest day of his f—ing life so far. He’s just thinking, “Wow!” Well, I know you’re Scottish and all that, but f—ing hell! It is like a third world country, but for f—‘s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely!

He would further insult Capaldi by replying to a question about his daughter's - possibly saracastic - tweet where she said ''I want to be Lewis Capaldi when I grow up.'' Noel's reaction included: "When she grows up? Well, she better be better looking than that c—! Let’s hope she doesn’t have his looks."

How did Capaldi react to Gallagher being a dick? He embraced it yet again.

He's now gone and changed his Twitter name to Chewis Capaldi and gotten himself a new profile photo.

While many of us could take or leave Capaldi's music we can at the very least commend his sense of humour. It's Gallagher nil, Capaldi 2.
