Dating shows have never been more popular. The success achieved by the likes of First Dates and Love Island have been absolutely massive, with streaming sits inevitably cashing in on this with their own versions of those shows.

Netflix's Too Hot To Handle was a massive success in 2020, while Love Is Blind was also another guilty pleasure for many who use the site.

While those particular offerings pumped up the cringe levels to the max, nothing will ever match the sheer lunacy of Netflix's latest offering.

Sexy Beasts, which will be released on July 21st, is your latest show offering some sort of take on a blind date.

However, while the daters will meet in person, they will have to make their judgements based on something other than looks. That is because contestants will be covered up by high quality prosthetic makeup, leading to some hilarious looking encounters.

Hoping to say goodbye to superficial dating, real-life singles sport elaborate makeup and prosthetics to put true blind-date chemistry to the test.

Now we've seen some fairly bizarre shows in our time, but this takes things to another level. How anyone could through a conversation with a human shark without pissing themselves laughing is one thing, but trying to build a romantic connection with that person must be something else entirely.

This is like First Dates meets The Masked Singer. It looks like a type of weird dream that you would have and not be able to shake for about two weeks afterwards.

Of course, in saying all of this, we will inevitably find ourselves sitting down to watch this next month. The curiosity will just be too much.
