Netflix has made several documentary films and series available for free via its YouTube channel.

"For many years, Netflix has allowed teachers to screen documentaries in their classrooms," the company said in a statement.

"However, this isn’t possible with schools closed. So at their request, we have made a selection of our documentary features and series available..."

Those which are available include the entire David Attenborough-narrated series 'Our Planet'.

There are also educational resources available for many of the documentaries.

13th (Film)

The title refers to the 13th amendment of the US constitution which outlawed slavery. The documentary, through interviews with scholars, activists and politicians, analyses the criminalisation of African Americans and the prison boom in the US.
