Given the vast array of crazy events, bizarre allegations, and wild anecdotes that viewers were privy too in Netflix's engrossing documentary series Tiger King, we wouldn't blame anyone if they had a hard job separating fact from fiction.

However, when it comes to the potential of another season of the documentary, Carole Baskin has debunked rumours that she could return.

The Sun previously reported that Baskin was demanding a £1 million fee to take part in a rumoured follow-up to the Netflix docuseries, a report that various outlets published.

However, during a recent interview with the Radio Times, Baskin has refuted any claims that she'd be returning for a potential new season.

She said: “No one has asked me to participate in a second round of Tiger King, Murder, Mayhem and Madness and there is no amount of money that would cause me to trust the producers again after their sick betrayal of the animals and me.

“I wasn’t paid the first time around, although several people have come forward saying they were paid. That violates the very nature of a documentary along with so many other things that were staged and taken out of context.”

At present, there's no official confirmation that a second season of the documentary will even be made.

Following the release of Tiger King, Baskin, who is a self-proclaimed animal right activists, was highly critical of the documentary after it questioned her motivations for rescuing the big cats in her care.

Aside from this, the disappearance of her first husband was also a huge question mark in the seven-episode series.

In a lengthy post on the Big Cat Rescue website, Baskin refuted a number of claims made in the series.

She says that she agreed to do the documentary under false pretences, and that she was told it would be an expose on road side zoos:

When the directors of the Netflix documentary Tiger King came to us five years ago they said they wanted to make the big cat version of Blackfish (the documentary that exposed abuse at SeaWorld) that would expose the misery caused by the rampant breeding of big cat cubs for cub petting exploitation and the awful life the cats lead in roadside zoos and back yards if they survive.

There are not words for how disappointing it is to see that the series not only does not do any of that, but has had the sole goal of being as salacious and sensational as possible to draw viewers...

The series presents this without any regard for the truth or in most cases even giving me an opportunity before publication to rebut the absurd claims. They did not care about truth. The unsavoury lies are better for getting viewers.
