The worlds of acting and professional wrestling have become increasingly intertwined in recent years. We all know the success that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has had over the past decade or so, while John Cena and Dave Bautista have also been in some big movies.

However, this looks like something very different.

Paul Donald Wight II, better know as Big Show, was one of the biggest stars in the WWE in the 00s. Standing at 7feet tall and billed at a weight of 500lbs, he was an absolute behemoth.

While he is still signed to WWE, he has now dipped his toe into acting.

Cleverly titled The Big Show Show, he is anchoring a new family sitcom on Netflix. While other wrestlers have shied away slightly from their past in that industry, this series leans heavily on the Big Show's time as a wrestler.

In the show, he has recently retired from WWE and attempts to ease him self back into regular family life with his wife and daughters.

It features lines such as 'to my daughters I'm not just some ex-wrestler without a purpose, I'm also a parent', and looks like every cheesy Disney Channel show rolled into one.

The show is available now on Netflix and is performing well. At the time of writing, it is in sixth place on the streaming giant's top ten list.

The Big Show Show was produced by WWE studios and is not the only release that has made its way onto Netflix this week.

The Main Event is basically a wrestling version of classic basketball movie Like Mike, where a youngster is given incredible wrestling talents by wearing a mysterious mask.

The movie is available to stream on Netflix from today.
