Well well, what a decision you lot have got on your hands now. Welcome to the first round of our bracket, in assocation with Ladbrokes, to crown the best Irish TV character in history. This is going to be tricky!
Over the past few days, the brains trust at Balls.ie have been trying to whittle the list of candidates down to just 16. To help us we've put in place a rule that only allows one nominee per television show. While this has given us a broad selection of shows, it did mean a lot of debate and tantrum-throwing while trying to decide who should be the nominee from each show. For instance, trying to crown the best character in Derry Girls is nearly a bracket in itself. Nonetheless we have managed to come to somewhat of a consensus on our 16 nominees and now the rest is up to you.
The Bracket
Below you will see the full draw for the last 16, with some interesting ties straight off the bat. As we said, it's just one nominee per show and the vote is for an "Irish " character so once they're Irish they qualify regardless of where the show actually aired.
