With cinemas finally opening back up, many people have been flocking to see A Quiet Place Part II over the last couple of weeks. John Krasinkski's sequel to the 2018 original has already proven to be a smash hit and has left many people wanting more. So will there be A Quiet Place 3?
The American director said that he had never intended to make this into a franchise, although the wild success of the original movie convinced him to commit to a second instalment. Surely the same can be said for a third outing?

Will There Be A Quiet Place 3?
While nothing is set in stone at the moment, everything is pointing towards a third and final instalment in the series.
Krasinski may not have written the first movie with the potential for a sequel in mind, but the second film was very much done with the thoughts of a possible third. Here's what he had to say to Collider on the possibility of A Quiet Place 3:
It's interesting, I genuinely hadn't thought about a second one when I was doing the first one. However, I really had these questions while I was doing it.
I put the fires out in the distance in the first one, and I always thought to myself, 'Wouldn't it be cool if we got to explore where those fires lead to? Who's on the other end of those fires?' But I never thought that there would be a sequel.
So then when I actually came around to writing the sequel, I started with the fires. And so this time, I think when my brain started wandering of questions of what would this mean later on, I started to write down notes in case I could prepare myself for a third one.
Star of the franchise Emily Blunt, who is also Krasinski's wife in real life, has said that she thought the script for A Quiet Place Part II perfectly set it up as the second part of a trilogy.
Speaking to Collider, she said that her husband has some 'great ideas' on how the trilogy could be wrapped up.
He has a whole arc of ideas that could work.
I think he just wanted to see how people responded to this one before he fully engaged his brain on the third one. But he has a couple of great ideas.
