The news that Fenway Park, America's greatest sports stadium, will be hosting a game of hurling between Galway and Dublin was greeted with glad tidings by most, but here at Balls Towers, it did raise a few questions. Behold - six questions we want answered on the Fenway Hurling Classic?

1. Are the Dropkick Muprhy's involved and will they be playing that song from 'The Departed'?

Because it's happened before at Red Sox games and hockey games at Fenway and it's a pretty awesome way to get pumped up for a sports game. Probably better than that drumming that preceded the All-Ireland hurling final.

2.Are the goals going to be next to the Green Monster?

Fenway Park features the most iconic bit of wallage in American sports - the Green Monster. There are seats above it. Will one of the goals be behind it? It would be a wasted opportunity to do it any other way.

3. Are Ben Affleck and J-Lo going to be there?

Even for old time's sake? They were fond of attending Fenway together in happier times.

4. Why aren't Kilkenny involved?

Seriously. We're re-staging a Leinster quarterfinal for the Yanks while the Kilkenny lads will be back home playing club matches? Understand that AIG sponsor the Dubs, but it seems like some allowances should have been been made for the Cats.

5. When are they going to sing 'Sweet Caroline'?

It wouldn't be a game at Fenway without some sort of Neil Diamond sing-a-long. But hurling doesn't create breaks in play like the Seventh Inning Stretch. We suggest Colm Callanan can feign injury just so the Fenway faithful can get their singing on.

6. Are players going to wear jumpers?

Boston gets seriously cold in late November. Just saying

7. Is the hurling game going to be aired on ESPN or a local cable provider like NESN

Because if it isn't, how are we going to do a piece on the 'American reaction to watching hurling'?
