Superman, a Brussels sprout and a Yorkshire Pudding were among the contestants at the fifth annual World Gravy Wrestling Championships, held in Lanchashire on Monday. According to the Birmingham Mail more than 1,500 people turned out to watch people fight it out in a paddling pool filled with gravy. After the bouts, contestants were hosed clean by the fire service.
