The PFA have today released their nominations for player of the year award along with young player of the year. Kevin De Bruyne, David De Gea, Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Leroy Sane & David Silva make up the names for the main award, but their is some confusion surrounding the nominees for young player of the year.

Remarkably, Harry Kane, who turns 25 on the 28th of July, has been nominated f0r the PFA young player of the year along with Leroy Sane, Marcus Rashford, Ryan Sessegnon, Ederson & Raheem Sterling:

The eligibility rules (according to Wikipedia) surrounding the YPOTY award state that to be considered, a player must be 23 or under at the start of the season, though that would rule out Kane who was 24 when the season kicked off. Needless to say, his inclusion has been met with widespread derision online:
