Nigeria Releases Gorgeous Line Of World Cup Jerseys & Sportswear

Sports fashion can be a tricky business. Designers are restricted to a set of colours and conventional designs but Nike and Nigeria have really hit it out of the park with their latest line of World Cup releases.

Their playing jersey is slightly left field, but somehow works:

There is a slightly more modest green away jersey as well as what looks like a training top that would have made a great main jersey:

The floral 'travel suit' is almost too stylish for football:

Here is a blurb from the official Nike page explaining the style of the sportwear:

The home kit pays subtle homage to Nigeria’s ’94 shirt (worn by Nigeria’s first team to qualify) with a wavey, all-over feather pattern and fluorescent colourway, with eagle wing-inspired black-and-white sleeve and green torso. It’s immediately eye-catching, and will undoubtedly be one of the best kits seen at this year’s world cup.

There’s a travel suit — a tonal green floral affair with significant swagger and accessories including bucket hats that radiate personality and designed to be mixed and matched to preference.

The entire line hits the mark, and the gear would look as good on the pitch as it would on a night out. Good news for Nigeria fans so!
