Dublin's Bernard Brogan may have won his third All-Ireland medal this year, but he will have to settle for third place in the Championship top scorer stakes.

Brogan actually scored the most from play this year with 6-20 to his credit and one point from a free. However, it wasn't enough to trump Mayo's Cillian O'Connor who came home in first to take the Golden Boot award this year.

The corner forward amassed an impressive 3-34 (43) altogether this season with 1-29 of that tally coming from placed balls. The Balintubber clubman just shaded the top honour ahead of Fermanagh's Seán Quigley who finished his Championship campaign with a not exactly insignificant 2-36 (42).

Elsewhere, Dublin had a second representative in Dean Rock taking 6th place, while Eoghan O'Flaherty from Kildare and Longford's Brian Kavanagh take fourth and fifth place respectively.
