The Hurricanes and the Blues played out a tense but exciting game in Eden Park for the weekend's first Super Rugby clash. Both teams have had mixed starts to the season and needed a win, but it was the Wellington based Hurricanes who got over the line thanks to two tries from scrumhalf TJ Perenara.

The game finished 23-19, the game ending on with the Blues camped on the Hurricanes line trying to steal a win.

But the first score of the game was the most incredible. We're thankful that Rene Ranger has decided to return to Super Rugby from his sojourn in Montpeiller, and it's clear the behemoth back has lost none of his penchant for the ridiculousness.
