The Jack Grealish Nonsense Has Taken Another Delightful Twist

At this stage you can't help but wonder if Jack Grealish is just sitting back and laughing his head off at idiots like us whipping up a storm over which country he'll choose to play for. Yesterday brought the news that many have expected. Reports in England suggested that a decision had been made and Grealish would switch his allegiances away from Ireland.

However, Grealish's father Kevin has now come out to state that there is 'nothing in that report whatsoever'. Speaking to the Sun, Grealish Snr has stated that his son has been concentrating on getting fit at the start of the new season.

No decision has been made by Jack yet. He hasn’t even played much football this season because of injuries.

So far, we've been fairly up front with our opinion that Grealish is worth the fuss. A lot of people would strongly disagree with that with the newly turned 20 year old's hair coming in for an inordinate amount of criticism. However, even we would suggest that someone is just taking the piss at this stage.

His club manager is getting a bit sick of answering questions about it and both his prospective international managers are definitely sick of being asked about it so it's hard to know who's winning from all this. Regardless of who he chooses to represent, he's setting himself up for a very big fall if he doesn't live up to the hype.

At the end of the day, he's a young footballer trying to make his way in the game and whomever he's getting advice from is failing miserably on the PR side of things.
