Wales' Euro 2016 camapaign is off to an absolute flier in Bordeaux.

Chris Coleman's side took an early lead against Slovakia thanks to some chap who wasn't Gareth Bale. I joke, of course. It was naturally Gareth Bale who scored.

The 26-year-old Real Madrid attacker cut through a free-kick from 30-odd yards, and the swerve on the strike ('THESE NEW BALLS', etc) seemed to send Slovak 'keeper Matúš Kozáčik halfway back to Bratislava before arriving pretty much dead central in the goal.

Not a great moment for the Viktoria Plzeň man, but a magnificent one for the Welsh, who are partaking in their first major tournament for the bones of six decades.

A Welsh victory will put pressure on neighbours England who kick off against Russia at 8pm Irish time.
