For pollsters, recency bias is something that always has to be taken into account. The average human is an emotional individual and their responses are always likely to be dictated by recent events. So shortly after Dublin fans travelled up to Roscommon and were forced to head to Carrick on Shannon instead, it may not have been the best time to put together a poll to find Ireland's worst GAA county ground.

However, we're more akin to wind-up merchants than professional pollsters so now that the results are in, we feel it only right to publish our findings. The long and short of it is that there were two grounds that came out head and shoulders above the rest. Dr. Hyde Park in Roscommon and the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda.

The full and final poll results are below but the reality of the situation is that we simply couldn't leave it like this. Dr. Hyde Park is certainly not Croker but at the same time, the question has to be asked, is it really as bad as Drogheda?

Perhaps it is but judging by some of the comments we've received, we decided it was necessary to have another unofficial vote just to be sure that angry Dublin fans who were forced to go to two provincial towns in one day weren't skewing the result.

We'll leave that poll about a poll ticking away but nonetheless, there's been thousands of votes on the original one so without further ado, here's the final ranking of the (not at all hijacked by angry Dublin fans) Worst County Ground in Ireland.
