Kildare are fuming after the decision to chalk off a late Cathal McNally goal after Tommy Moolick was deemed to have fouled the goalkeeper Darren Quinn in the lead-up.
With Kildare trailing by three points with a minute remaining, a high ball was pumped into the square. Moolick contested for the ball with Quinn. The goalkeeper couldn't grab it and it wriggled free allowing McNally to steam in and fire home from close range.
On the Sunday Game yesterday evening, Pat Spillane argued it was the correct decision and the goalkeeper had been fouled. Colm O'Rourke and Ciaran Whelan disagreed fairly vigorously.
Cian O'Neill described the decision as 'shocking' and insisted it was a 'totally legitimate goal'.
For me, it's a totally legitimate goal. The goalkeeper actually dropped the ball before there was any contact. It's a big call - whatever about the small calls, let's get the big ones right. I'd like to look at it again but from looking at it on the big screen I thought it was shocking.

Kildare clipped over two late points but couldn't reel in the deficit, losing 1-12 to 1-11. In this morning's Round 2B qualifier draw, they were drawn to play Offaly.
