Jim Gavin named Philly McMahon in his starting lineup after he sat out last week's win over Kerry, but after only two minutes of action he was off the pitch again after being shown a black card.

In pretty much his first involvement in the match, McMahon put a challenge in on Mayo's Aiden O'Shea that the referee deemed worthy of a black card, as it looked as though the Dublin player had no intention of playing the ball.

Not the ideal return.

Only two minutes old and the game already had a major talking point:
