Lorcan Murphy of Black Amber Templeogue has had a few of his highlights make waves in recent times, but his dunk against the DCU Saints at the University gym last week is almost certainly the pick of the bunch.
Anybody who played NBA Jam as a youngster will know that a dunk isn't truly special unless you do damage to the very basket you scored on, so with that in mind we hope Murphy is proud of his handiwork as his monster slam caused play to be halted for five minutes.
En route to a 79-96 win, Murphy scored 17 points thanks in part to four dunks, but this one stood out above the rest.
Impressive, and not a bad way to start the season.
Templeogue were the best team in the league over the regular season in the last campaign, so they would have wanted to get off to a winning start and got just that from their trip to DCU.
Fair play to Lorcan Murphy for the elevation, hopefully there's plenty more to come.
