Below you'll find a photo and a bit of a back story about Ahmed Kelly. I know everyone competing at the Paralympics has an incredible story but I don't know if anyone's is as international as Ahmed's. Born in 1991 in Baghdad around the time of America's first war with Saddam Hussein with a double arm and leg deficiency, Kelly lived in an Mother Teresa orphanage, where he was later adopted by Australian humanitarian Moira Kelly. She brought him and his brother to Australia with her in 2000. 11 years later, Ahmed broke the world record in the 50 metre backstroke and he came fourth in the Paralympics this week, swimming for Australia. Not bad at all, sir.
