Picture: The Official Scorecard From Andy Lee Vs Peter Quillin
By PJ Browne

Had Peter Quillin not gotten away with standing on Andy Lee's foot as he knocked him down in the third round, there's a good chance the Limerick man would have beaten the American. Lee lost that round 10-8.

In the picture below you can clearly see Quillin with his left boot planted on his opponent's right.

Instead the fight ended as a split draw with the judges scoring it 113-112, 113-113 and 112-113. As you can see from the official scorecard above, Quillin actually required a win in the final round for it to finish all level.

It really was a remarkable comeback from the Irish fighter when you consider how dazed he looked after being dropped just 150 seconds into the fight.
