Boxing promoter Bob Arum has pulled no punches in his description of UFC fans.
Speaking to FightHype, the 84-year-old fight tycoon claimed UFC fans are supporters of Donald Trump, while boxing fans support Hilary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and even John Kasich.
Well the UFC, they've done a great job promoting but one thing I've said, and I'll say again, I'll say it straight out - the fans of the UFC are Donald Trump supporters. The fans of boxing support Hillary [Clinton], Bernie [Sanders], and maybe John Kasich, so there's a difference,
said Manny Pacquiao's promoter.
the preponderance of UFC fans are Trump supporters - white males who are desperately afraid that this country in 20 years will be a non-white majority country. And that's why they're reacting, and that's why they're supporting an imbecile like Trump. And maybe that's why they like UFC.
The undercard for Manny Pacquiao's fight with Tim Bradley this weekend is officially called #NoTrump.
Interestingly, Arum recently told sports radio host Colin Cowherd that Trump 'swindled' both he and Dan Duva out of $2.5m during the build-up to Evander Holyfield's world heavyweight championship fight with George Foreman in 1991.
Perhaps he feels the UFC is costing him some money, too.
