Last night saw US boxer Adrien Broner arrested and charge with battery in Miami, Florida.  Broner originally posted his mugshot to instagram but has since deleted it.

Bronier sent this tweet with the mugshot link yesterday.

The Boxing Scene site called Miami authorities to confirm the mugshot was real.  Broner was previously arrested in March 2010 for punching a woman in the face and stealing $40 from her purse.

Broner is being heavily promoted by Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and analysts in the US believe he could succeed Floyd Mayweather in the swagger stakes in the lighter weights. Broner currently boasts a 26-0 record and holds the WBC LIghtweight Title.  Having previously held the WBO Super Featherweight title, his next fight seems him attempt to win his third belt in his short career. Broner fights Paulie Maliginaggi in New York in June for the WBA Welterweight title.  One consolation for his fans is that Bronier is walking around at 145 lbs. Well on course to be at his peak for the Maliginaggi fight.
