The Late Late show was more must-watch TV than usual this Friday night. That's because Ryan Tubridy was welcoming home the Irish stars of the Olympics - with Mick Conlan's interview well worth checking out.

But it was the brothers from Skibbereen - Gary and Paul O'Donovan who were the highlight of the show. We brought you the full interview already, but there's one moment from Gary that was worth highlighting on its own.

Ryan asks the brothers about their famous comment about Mick Conlan boxing the head off them if they didn't get gold. What came out was a fantastic story about Gary and Michael needing translators to understand each other:

On the off chance Mick Conlan reads this, here's the transcript of what Gary says:

I'm actually glad he's not on with us, 'cos me and him don't understand each other. Tis very funny like. We'd be down in the room, inside in the apartment, when I talk Paddy Barnes has to translate to Mick what I'm saying; and when Mick talks, Paul has to translate to me what Mick is saying.

Oh to be a fly on the wall in that apartment.
