For the crowd in the 3Arena on Saturday night, the moment they were all waiting for was Katie Taylor's ringwalk.

One of Ireland's greatest ever sportspeople, Taylor returned to Dublin for a second homecoming fight against Chantelle Cameron on Saturday - the same opponent who spoiled the party last time out at the Point in May.

Cameron was less than enthused with the prospect of returning to Dublin - mainly as she felt she deserved more credit and respect for her victory in May.

Ahead of this weekend's bout, Cameron had questioned the length of Taylor's ringwalk at their last meeting, calling it a "piss take" for its length.

Back in May, Cameron walked out first, leaving her with a lengthy wait in the ring for Taylor.

This time out, Taylor went first - and the place was rocking by the time her opponent arrived at the ring.

Up against it as the challenger, Katie Taylor's entourage clearly wanted to get the home crowd going nice and early in Dublin.

As the crowd waited for Taylor and Cameron to arrive into the ring, the 3Arena DJ clearly had the same idea, getting the hometown crowd's voices warmed up with a rousing rendition of 'Sweet Caroline.'

When Taylor arrived, there were goosebumps across the arena, even if her song choice did not quite play to the masses' music knowledge.

The Bray fighter certainly made the most of her position as the hometown hero, soaking up the energy of the crowd while waiting patiently for her opponent in the ring.

The atmosphere inside the 3Arena was simply sensational, and the first round saw the TV announcers almost drowned out by rousing renditions of 'Olé, Olé' and 'The Fields of Athenry.'

We had to wait a long time for a Katie Taylor homecoming fight, and the second round of it certainly lived up to the hype with an extraordinary buzz in Dublin on Saturday night.
