Jake Paul has has stated that his team have offered Katie Taylor $2m for a rematch with Amanda Serrano.

Paul, who is Serrano's promoter, tweeted last night that,

Amanda Serrano is the greatest P4P female fighter of all time. @Serranosisters fought @ 140 pounds once in her career (138 pounds) & then four months later fought @ 115 pounds. P4P GOAT. Offer stands, $2M for Katie (2x what Eddie offered Amanda for the rematch). 126 or 130 lbs.

Paul was doubling down on comments he made on DAZN yesterday, where he explained why Serrano wishes for Katie to come down a weight and fight.

"The only reason [the re-match is not happening] is that Amanda wants to keep her belts at 126lbs so she is the unified champion there, and they said they were going to strip her belts if she didn't defend them right now.

"So she’s going to defend them, keep all her belts at 126, and the money is cool and all, but that doesn’t mean anything to Amanda Serrano, she wants to be the unified champ at 126lbs."

"We have money for Katie Taylor too. We have $2m for Katie Taylor to come down to 126, let’s see who really is the pound-for-pound best is.

"I think Amanda Serrano won that fight, everyone thinks Amanda Serrano won that fight.

"Katie Taylor, I know you’re watching, why don’t you come down to 126, go against Amanda Serrano in that weight class because she came up nine pounds to fight you. She didn’t look like she was in the same weight class as you that night."

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano's legendary fight in April, which was decided by split decision in Taylor's favour, was the biggest women's fight of all time, and the interest in a rematch is huge.

However, after turning down a potential rematch at Croke Park, it unlikely that Taylor's camp would ever accept these terms put forward, given that she was the deserved victor in their first fight.

Serrano has also previously won a title at 140lbs, and it is clear that her intentions are to put Taylor at as big a disadvantage as possible.
