Sometimes you don't have to break the bank to get yourself a great player and with that in mind, brought to you by Setanta Sports, we've decided to take a look at best value signings of the summer.

Have we missed anyone?

Gareth Barry: Manchester City to Everton (Free)

The former England international played an integral part of Everton's fantastic league run last season. The Toffees almost qualified for the Champions League with Barry commandeering central midfield for all but five of their Premier League matches. Barry decided to put pen to paper and make a move to Everton on a permanent deal following his successful loan spell.

David Ospina: Nice to Arsenal (£3 mill)

The Columbian shot stopper shone at the World Cup and actually had the cleanest record of any South American goalkeeper in qualification for the tournament. Arsenal needed a number two goalie following Lukasz Fabianski's Emiates exit at the start of the window and Ospina seems to be more than ready to give Wojciech Szczesny some much needed competition between the sticks.

Mauricio Isla Juventus to QPR (Loan)

Queens Park Rangers pulled off a major coup by snapping up this versatile defender. Isla played a pivotal role in Chile's outstanding World Cup run. The right-back made a name for himself at Udinese but has failed to nail down a regular starting place at Juventus. Perhaps he'll find his feet again in the Premier League.

Bacary Sagna Arsenal to Manchester City (Free)

The French international was one of Arsenal's most consistent performers last season. He is regarded as one of the top right-backs in England right now and Man City have done incredibly well to lure him away from his long-term club on a free transfer. Sagna is decent going forward but he really shines in defense, where he can dominate the play.

Ryan Bertrand Chelsea to Southampton (Loan)

Southampton are a club that has seen a mass exodus of players this window so the acquisition of Ryan Bertrand on loan must have been a welcome change for their fans. The Saints will be looking to Bertrand to fill the cavernous Luke Shaw-shaped void at left-back. If he can recreate the form that saw him get extended game time at Chelsea in the 2012-13 season, he could prove to be a great signing for Southampton.

Joleon Lescott Manchester City to West Bromwich Albion (Free)

A casualty of Manuel Pellegrini's tactical overhaul. The solid centre-back found himself out of favour at the Etihad Stadium. However, Man City's loss is West Brom's gain. The defender has bags of experience and may be the x-factor that keeps them up this season.

Siem De Jong Ajax to Newcastle (£6 million)

This players knows how to lead and more importantly, he knows the taste of success. De Jong captained Ajax to four consecutive Eredivisie titles from central midfield. He also has a penchant for scoring goals. He found the net seven times in 19 appearances for the Dutch champions last season.

Steve Sidwell Fulham to Stoke City (Free)

The Arsenal academy graduate had fine league form last season despite the Cottagers ultimately getting relegated. Sidwell scored seven goals and shone in an otherwise lacklustre Fulham side. His playing style means he should be a perfect fit at Stoke City.

Bafetimbi Gomis Lyon to Swansea City (Free)

Swansea have done an incredible feat by signing a proven goalscorer for absolutely nothing. His record at Lyon was prolific. Gomis scored 91 goals in 239 games during his tenure at the French club. If he can make that all important transition to English football he could be lethal for the Swans.

Leanardo Ulloa Brighton & Hove Albion to Leicester City (£8 mill)

£8 million might seem a little steep for a newly promoted team but if Ullua produces enough goals to keep Leicester in the top flight he'll be deserving of his relatively high price tag. With 14 goals in the championship last season, Ulloa looks like he could be a decent attacking threat for the Foxes this season.
