It's time for another episode in the endless series 'French Footballer Drama'...

Yes, it seems like a month can't go by without a current or former French international taking shots at another player who lined out for les Blues, but it has been a while since we've heard from Nicolas Anelka who has now made his feelings about Lillian Thuram very clear in a Facebook post late last night.

Thuram is considered to be one of the best defenders of his generation, but during a recent documentary on l'equipe de France which was broadcast on national TV, the former Juventus and Barcelona defender criticised Anelka for his attitude.

Thuram accused Anelka of being a spoiled brat, and of not respecting the shirt of the national team, something that is hardly an outrageous claim considering what has been said of Anelka in the past, in particular surrounding his involvement with the French team, but the former Arsenal striker was not best pleased and took to his Facebook page to mock Thuram.

Anelka posted a picture of Thuram and Samuel L. Jackson's character 'Steven' from Django Unchained. In the movie Steven, a house slave, is seen as a traitor by the other slaves for his close relationship with his slave masters, and Anelka has suggested the two share a similar attitude.

The post has caused a lot of debate in France, with many siding with Thuram and taking the opportunity to criticise Anelka for the lack of respect he is believed to have shown the French jersey.

Can't they all get along? Seemingly not.
