Exodus On Cards As Sanchez Among Three Attackers Reported To Be Leaving Arsenal

Arsenal transfers will now take centre-stage, given the news of the day.

It was a day of renewal at Arsenal: Arsene Wenger officially signed a two-year contract extension, while Arsenal FanTV has presumably been recommissioned for the same amount of time.

While that aspect of the club will remain the same for Arsenal fans, there could be some major changes to the playing staff. Matt Hughes of The Times of London reports that both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are eager to leave the club. Both are entering the final years of their contract.

Sanchez' departure could be more swift: the paper claims that he wants to join Bayern Munich, against whom he reserved the most audacious of his arm-waving annoyance with his teammates this season.

His Chilean teammate, Arturo Vidal, has fed the usual quotes to the press, excited by the idea of Sanchez joining:

I told (Alexis) that this is his chance to be in a big team. If he wants to compare itself with the best he needs to go to the best team in the world.

Mesut Ozil is apparently off too, with the report stating that he is willing to let his contract run down, to allow him leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Both are willing to leave despite the fact that Arsenal are ready to smash their wage structure to keep both, and are ready to give them £280,000 a week, each.

Aside from those potential losses, Lucas Perez has also intimated his desire to leave, according to his agent:

The idea is to be able to play for another club. We want to leave and Arsenal already know. Do you know anyone who is happy but has no opportunities?

Perez made just 21 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season.
