Craig Gordon, who was signed by Roy Keane for Sunderland, for £9 million, is playing for Scottish First Division side Dumbarton FC against Livingston hoping to secure a contract. The former Scottish international is still the most expensive British 'keeper but has been without a club since his release by Sunderland last summer.

Dumbarton's stadium capacity of 2,000 is a far cry from the English Premier League.

Clearly injuries have played a part in Gordon's fall from grace but even at the time may questioned Roy Keane's judgement in spending that much on the (then) Hearts goalkeeper.  Keane's managerial career took a similar nose dive but he's re-invented himself as ITV's main football pundit.  Hopefully Gordon gets himself back on track too.
