Last year, when Manchester City celebrated their second Premier League title in a row - and fourth in five years - Jack Grealish was front and centre of the celebrations.

Grealish had signed from Aston Villa for £100 million the previous summer, making him the most expensive English footballer of all-time, and had experienced huge success as part of Pep Guardiola's extraordinary title-winning team.

This time last year, however, perceptions of Grealish as a footballer were mixed, at best. Undoubtedly a very talented player, he had nonetheless struggled to make an impact when placed in the starting XI, and losing his position in that 11 towards the end of the season.

In 2022/23, however, everything changed, and Grealish has now become a pivotal part of Guardiola's team, and was one of the stars of their run to an historic treble, secured on Saturday night with City's victory over Inter Milan for a first ever Champions League title.

Grealish may not be the most popular footballer on Irish shores, but he has won over many football fans with his party-mad celebrations in the aftermath of City's biggest achievement yet.

Jack Grealish: Manchester City man enjoying boozy treble celebrations

For Jack Grealish, the last two games of the treble campaign didn't quite go to plan.

He was controversially penalised for a handball in the FA Cup final, which led to Manchester United's equaliser, before putting in what he himself described as an "awful" performance in the Champions League final.

Despite that, Grealish has undoubtedly won the right to enjoy the celebrations, having turned things around this season at Manchester City and become one of the club's most consistently impressive performers all season.

And enjoy them he certainly has. It didn't take long for the first clips of Grealish's exuberant celebrations to emerge, with video footage of him storming the press pen post-match blaring 'Everywhere' by Fleetwood Mac with a can of Heineken in hand.

The party went through the night for City, as was to be expected after such an historic achievement.

On their night out in Istanbul, Grealish was pictured with Mercedes F1 driver George Russell - with Russell's photo revealing that Grealish had embarked on the celebration march still togged out in his match day kit.

And, a few hours on, Grealish was still in his kit, as he and the imperious Erling Haaland danced with City fans in the early hours of Sunday morning.

After the initial celebrations, Grealish and a few of his teammates made a brief stop off in Ibiza before travelling home to Manchester to celebrate with their fans - and Jack Grealish arrived in pretty classic Jack Grealish fashion.

We were now almost 48 hours out from kick-off in Istanbul, but the partying hadn't slowed down for the English winger, who was captured being fed a beer by teammate Bernardo Silva on the Manchester tram en route to the celebrations.

When City made their way to the open-top bus for a parade of Deansgate in Manchester, Grealish went live on Instagram to give fans inside access to the scenes on top of the bus.

Erling Haaland, who was struck up a brilliant partnership with Grealish on the pitch this season, joined his teammate in the celebrations, pouring champagne over his head - an action which did not seem to impress Grealish.

The 27-year-old then provided one of the defining images of Manchester City's treble celebrations, as he was captured enjoying the Manchester rain at the front of City's tour bus.

Perhaps the funniest element of all of these celebrations is that Jack Grealish has England duty to report for later this week, with Gareth Southgate's side lining out against Malta and North Macedonia in EURO 2024 qualifiers this weekend.

And, judging by his (ever so slightly tipsy) remarks on stage as the Manchester City players addressed their fans on Monday evening, it seems as though Grealish may be in need of a bit of recuperation before even thinking of stepping on a football pitch again.

Jack Grealish feels like something out of a bygone era, and his energy in the celebrations has added much-needed character to what can often feel like a very soulless Manchester City juggernaut.
