We're assured that Euro 2016 montage fatigue will kick in soon but not just yet. The custodians of football in the country have uploaded their montage which is solely devoted to the Irish team's performance not just in the tournament proper but in the qualifiers.

Beginning with Aiden McGeady's winner in Georgia, it takes it through Gelsenkirchen and Warsaw and Gibraltar and on towards Paris, Lille and Lyon.

Roll on the 2018 World Cup qualifiers is the message. The first game is less than two months away now. People haven't anticipated a qualifier opener in quite a while.

Makes a change from the lethargy and apathy which was a feature of the beginning of the Euro 2016 qualifiers.
