Yngvar Borgesen recently won over €13 million in the Norwegian lottery. Rather than buying a private yacht, a small island in the Pacific  or even a more pronouncable name, Yngvar decided what he really wanted to do was to buy 25% of local club Odd Grenland's promising young defender Fredrik Semb Berge in order to help them hold on to him. The club are struggling in the Norwegian league and Berge is key to their bid to stay up.

"I sat and thought about what I could do locally, and the answer was Odd. They have a good profile and mean a lot for the local community," said the investor with typically Scandinavian restraint. Berge has already been capped by Norway and when he should be sold by Odd, 25% of the fee will go to Borgesen.
