Patrice Evra believes a change in Marcus Rashford's mentality has contributed to his return to form.

Marcus Rashford continued his good form this season as he scored a well worked goal from a corner in Manchester United's 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

It was Rashford's second goal this week, after a suburb solo goal in the midweek clash against Burnley, showing a huge change in fortunes for the Manchester United forward.

Having burst on the scene in 2016, Marcus Rashford was seen as the future of Manchester United.  Whether it be on the wing or as striker, his pace and goals from an early age made fans believe the club would be in safe hands for years to come.

However, just like so many of his Manchester United teammates, it hasn't been the easiest couple of seasons.

A change in manager, injuries and off the field issues resulted in a drop of form for Rashford, with goals drying up and questions surrounding his future at the club.

Since Erik Ten Hag has taken over, Rashford look a new player. He has never had a manager put so much confidence in him before, and it has resulted in a return in form, with 10 goals in all competitions this season.

A positive World Cup campaign for England also followed, with three goals in the competition, and possibly should have had more involvement.

Evra Pleased For Rashford

This good form showed by Rashford is a pleasant sight for Manchester United fans. Speaking on Amazon Prime's coverage of the game to the 25-year-old, Patrice Evra claims a change in mentality has worked wonders.

You talk a lot about mindset. What I see a few years ago, I see you smiling, I see you happy, and you know sometimes people don't understand you can have problems off the pitch.

I think you have solved that. We have never discussed about your quality. For me, I don't care about you scoring 20 or 30 goals, I just want you to be happy, and that's what I see and that's why I'm really proud of you.

Just keep doing what your doing, because that's exactly how I feel about you."

Some very kind words from Evra, who like all Manchester United fans, is delighted to see Rashford enjoying his football again.
