Roy Keane's time at Celtic was brief - it lasted just six months - but he certainly made an impression during his time at Parkhead, especially on Mark Wilson.

In an interview with website Open Goal, former Celtic defender Darren O'Dea, who was at the club at the same time as Keane and Wilson, told a story from one of Keane's first training sessions at the club.

Keane and Wilson had joined Celtic around the same time. Keane in December 2005, Wilson just a month later.

According to O'Dea, Wilson accidentally put in a hefty challenge on Keane during training. Though Keane initially appeared calm about the situation, he later sought and had his revenge.

That impression made on Wilson may have been a literal one.

Mark Wilson was one, you know what he's like... quiet as a mouse but, for some reason, Keano had it in for Wilson.

I think it was one of the first training sessions and as Keano got the ball, Mark Wilson sprinted into press him but when he went to put the brakes on, he slipped and absolutely cleaned him out.

He obviously panicked, saying 'I'm so sorry!' and Keano's like 'It's not a problem, mate. Don't worry about it.'

Five minutes later, Willo got the ball, passed it and ten minutes after, Keano hit him like an absolute train and put him up in the air.

You can watch Darren O'Dea tell the story below.
